Alison Doody

Alison Doody has been an Irish model and actor from 11 November 1996. Her debut in a feature film was a small role in the Bond film A View to a Kill. (1985). In the following film she played the Nazi-sympathising archaeologist Elsa Schneider (Indiana Jones and in the Last Crusade 1989). Siobhan was in A Prayer for the Dying, Charlotte in Taffin and Rebecca Flannery Major League II. Doody was approached by a photographer and began to model. Then she began a career of commercial modelling. Doody strove to avoid the glamour of nude roles which was a principle she applied in her acting. When she came to the director's notice for an upcoming James Bond film, Doody took on a part for a small part in A View to a Kill (1985). Doody's name was included in John Willis Screen World Vol. 12 which features the most promising new actors of 1986. 38. Doody She was just 18 at the time she played Doody in A Prayer for the Dying (1987), starring Mickey Rourke, is the tiniest Bond girl to be seen. A Prayer for the Dying which starred Mickey Rourke also had a role for Doody in the character of IRA Siobhan. Doody was an actress in silent films in a 1987 film adaptation from The Secret Garden, playing Archibald Craven's dream bride Lilias. The Storyteller episode from 1988 included her in the leading role in Sapsorrow, alongside John Hurt Dawn French Jennifer Saunders. In 1988, she played as Pierce Brosnan on the movie Taffin. Her most notable part to date was that of Austrian Nazi sympathizer and archaeologist Doctor Elsa Schneider opposite Harrison Ford in the 1989 film Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade. Doody has been in three films with James Bond actors. Doody appeared in the 1991 British series Selling Hitler with Jonathan Pryce. The film was based on the Hitler Diaries publication scam. Following her move to Hollywood Doody made her a star. She was replaced by Cybill Shepherd as the L'Oreal spokesperson's part. Doody then appeared as Flannery Sheen's lover and agent, opposite Charlie Sheen, as Major League II was released in 1994. Doody returned to acting in 2003 with a minor performance as a character in her role in the British comedy film The Actors, in which Michael Caine played herself at an awards show. She was in the film with Patrick Swayze, in the 2004 TV film adaptation to King Solomon's Mines. Doody was on Danny Dyer 2010's The Rapture. Doody appeared on RTE's medical drama The Clinic. The project was later canceled. Pam Jefferson, the character she played on E4's comedy Beaver Falls during its first season, which ran for two years. She also appeared as Pam Jefferson on We Still Kill the Old Way. The Almeria Tierra de Film Award was given to her on the 21st of November, 2018. The actress also was given an award at the Almeria Walk Of Fame.
